Display and demonstration of adaptive technology for the blind or vision impaired

Quantum Technology is coming to Canberra to showcase our products over two days at an information and technology exhibition put on by the Canberra Blind Society. The displays will held in Room 1 of the Griffin Centre, Genge St, Civic from 1.00pm - 5.30pm on 25 July and 10.00am - 2.30pm on 26 July.

Training

Quantum Technology is committed to the provision of expert and professional training services for all of our customers. We have a variety of training options for individuals or groups, that focus on what you need to know to use your assistive technology solutions in the workplace, educational setting or at home. A new publication (available below) lists all of the Training programs we have for education. If our standard offerings do not suit your particular requirements please call us to discuss.

Independence against adversity

Loss of independence should never be an acceptable option for people faced with a loss of sight. Robynne Morse from Banora Point is a shining example of someone who was able to regain her independence through assistive technology.

69 year old Robynne is legally blind due to the ‘dry’ form of Macular Degeneration. She was diagnosed in 2004 but noticed the progression of her sight loss in January 2007. Robynne has no central vision, which means she is no longer able to read, drive or notice fine detail without assistance.
