Magnification Simulator

The Electronic Reading Aid Simulator is an on-line assessment tool of a person’s ability to read successfully with a CCTV (Electronic Reading Aid). Ordinary 8pt newsprint is shown at variable magnifications, and in different contrast schemes, and the user is timed as they read sample sentences. At the end of the test, a report is printed that indicates required magnifications and adjustments, and recommends appropriate equipment.
